Game Notes: Jacksonville State | Stetson
DeLand, Fla. – Jacksonville State travels to the Sunshine State to wrap up ASUN Conference cross-divisional play on Wednesday against Stetson.
Â
The Gamecocks (16-7, 9-1 ASUN) have won their last six road contests away from Pete Mathews Coliseum, and a seventh-straight would give them a league-best 10th conference win. The Hatters, who enter at 4-6 in ASUN action and 10-13 overall, will look to spoils JSU's run by knocking off the ASUN leader.
Â
Wednesday's matchup is the 13 th all-time in the series, primarily played as an ASUN conference clash going back to JSU's initial stint in the league. Jax State leads the series, 8-4, however, all four losses have come in DeLand, where the Hatters are 4-3 in seven games. The last time the two met came in 2003 in Pete Mathews Coliseum, where the Gamecocks won 101-82 in overtime after outscoring SU, 21-2, in the extra period.
Â
Darian Adams continues to pace JSU's offense, but counterparts in Kayne Henry, last week's ASUN Player of the Week, and Demaree King and Jalen Gibbs, two of the top three-point shooters in the nation, presents a spread attack for the Gamecocks.
Â
JSU and Stetson will tip from the Edmunds Center on Hatters' campus at 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 CT. The contest streams on ESPN+ in addition to the radio call from Mike Parris over the Gamecock Sports Network.
