JACKSONVILLE – The Gamecock men's tennis team kicked off their Fall 2022 slate over the weekend with the Gamecock Hidden Duals and finished 4-1 in those matches against North Alabama.

"This was a very important weekend for us," head coach
Mike Mucci said following the event. "North Alabama came down and competed hard and play toe-to-toe with us, especially on Day 1. They have a new coaching staff that has brought a lot of energy and discipline to their program.

"Even though we won a large portion of the matches in both doubles and singles, there are a lot of things we saw that we need to clean up in order to get to where we need to be in the Spring," Mucci said. "This was a good first weekend competing as a group, and we will learn and grow from this with the young and talented team we have."

Action began Saturday afternoon at the JSU Tennis Courts. Jacksonville State swept the doubles portion of competitions before splitting their two rounds of singles.

On Saturday, JSU's duo of junior
