JACKSONVILLE – Jax State men's basketball hosts East Tennessee State at Pete Mathews Coliseum Sunday afternoon for the second of three-straight home games.
The Gamecocks (4-4) aim to extend Conference USA's current longest winning streak to four games as they welcome ETSU (3-4) to Jacksonville for the first time. In the first-ever meeting between the two schools last season in Johnson City, Tenn., Jax State held on for a 63-61 victory.
The Bucs enter the contest led by first-year head coach Brooks Savage. The leading scorer, Ebby Asamoah has averaged 20.3 points per game since Nov. 17, which the Gamecocks counter with KyKy Tandy who's coming off a career-high 29 points versus South Alabama on Thursday.
Sunday's game tips at 2 p.m. from The Pete with broadcast on ESPN+ and radio coverage over the Gamecock Sports Network.
After Sunday, the Gamecocks remain at home to host UIC on Dec. 8, before hitting the road for three road games leading into the Christmas break.
