For the second consecutive season, the Jax State bowling team is at the top of the National Tenpin Coaches Association Preseason Top 25.
The Gamecocks received 14 of the 44 first-place votes to finish with 1,777 points, besting Nebraska by 75 points which received seven first-place votes. Vanderbilt was third receiving seven first-place votes, and defending NCAA champion Youngstown State finished fourth with 16 first-place votes.
Jax State returns five players from the 2025 squad that won the Intercollegiate Team Championship and was the runner-up at the NCAA including a pair of First Team All-Americans in Annalise Obryant and
Erin Klemencic.
The team won five events last season and finished as the runner-up in five others.
The top six teams in the poll are all Conference USA members and the league has eight of the top 10.
The 2025-26 season begins on October 17
th at the Penguin Classic hosted by Youngstown State in Struthers, Ohio.
