Bowling Sweeps Intercollegiate Championships

The second season of Jax State bowling ended with a team and an individual title at the Intercollegiate Championships hosted by the US Bowling Congress.

The Gamecocks were the Intercollegiate Team Champions, going 5-0 in the bracket and finished with a 3-0 win in a best-of-five series against Mount Mercy in the championship which will air on CBS Sports Network next month. Jax State won the first game 218-192 before a 183-180 win in the second game. The match concluded with a 194-182 win by Jax State.

This is the first Intercollegiate Team title for the Gamecocks after winning the NCAA championship in 2024 and finishing as the runner-up at last year's ITC.

Sophomore Dannielle Henderson was named the tournament MVP and was joined on the all-tournament team by senior Anna Warkel.

Freshman Erin Klemencic won the singles championship with an incredible run on the show that will also air next month on CBS Sports Network. In the semifinals, Klemencic was a 274-202 winner over Jenna Lehrer of Monmouth to clinch a spot in the championship final. She came away with a 245-236 victory to become the first individual champion in Jax State history.

This marks the second consecutive season Jax State has had an individual make the Intercollegiate Singles TV show after Crystal Elliott reached last year's semifinals.
