Jax State men's golf will play its second to last fall tournament at the Georgia Southern University Bash in the Boro starting on Monday.
The Gamecocks are part of a 12-team field that also features Richmond, George Washington, Marshall, Appalachian State, Georgia Southern, Florida A&M, Winthrop, Campbell, and Providence. Also in the field are Division II Catawba and USC Beaufort.
Most recently, Jax State was third at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic, posting three under-par rounds highlighted by
Ryley Heath finishing second at nine-under for 54 holes. During his second round, the senior posted a 66 with five consecutive birdies on the back nine.
Heath leads the team in scoring average at 69.67. In second rounds this season, Heath has posted an eye-popping 67.67 average.
Stanley Campbell has recorded 36 of the team's 156 birdies on the year and is one of three players on the team with an eagle.
Teams will play a 36-hole day on Monday on the 6,850-yard Par 72 course starting at 7:30 a.m. Central. Tuesday's final round will be a shotgun start which also starts at 7:30 Central.
