DALLAS – For the second time this season, Jax State setter
Charlee Solomon has been named the Conference USA Freshman of the Week. Solomon and the Gamecocks took home two victories over New Mexico State this week.
Solomon tallied a team high 81 assists in nine sets, helping lift the Gamecocks toa 3-2 victory over the Aggies on Thursday and a 3-1 win on Friday. Solomon trailed only libero
Luci Wilkinson with 16 digs on the weekend.
Solomon managed 9.0 assists per set, also tallying four service aces. The Papillion, Neb. native also earned four kills and managed two block assists.
It is Solomon's second CUSA Freshman of the Week honor this season, following the time she earned honors on Oct. 13.
Solomon and the Gamecocks return to action for the final two matches of the regular season on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 12 and 13 at Louisiana Tech.
