Caleb Nix earned his second Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week award in as many weeks.
The redshirt junior from Phenix City had two interceptions during his team's 35-26 win over Kennesaw State on Saturday to take sole possession of first place in the Conference USA standings.
The game marked his third consecutive contest with an interception and in the process, became the new program record holder for interception return yardage in a season at 191. Additionally, Nix had 11 total tackles in the contest for a new career-high.
