CHARLOTTE—Jax State running back
Cam Cook was selected to The Sporting News 2025 All-America second team today.
Cook has now made two of the five All-America teams which are used to determine consensus All-America status with one more team to be released Thursday.
In his first season with the Gamecocks, Cook rushed for 1,659 yards which is tops in the Football Bowl Subdivision and ranks second-most all-time in Jax State history. He did so on 295 carries which is also second-most all-time in program history.
The Round Rock, Texas native found the end zone 16 times, ranking fourth in the FBS. Cook had 10 games with over 100 rushing yards, posting a career-high 218 yards on 31 carries in a win at Sam Houston. He added 30 receptions for 286 yards, averaging 149.62 all-purpose yards per game.
Jax State finished the 2025 season with a 9-5 record and were champions of the IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl.
