Cook Named to FWAA All-America Team

DALLAS—Jax State running back Cam Cook picked up his third All-America selection of the week when he was chosen for the 2025 Football Writers Association of America All-America Second Team presented in partnership with the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.
 
Cook, a junior from Round Rock, Texas was one of 54 players across the Football Bowl Subdivision to be selected to the teams.
 
The nation's leader in total rushing was named to three of the five All-America teams that make up the consensus All-America team which is announced tomorrow.
 
Cook rushed 295 times in his first season at Jax State, totaling 1,659 yards and 16 touchdowns in his 13 games played. His 127.6 rushing yards per game was second nationally and his 149.6 all-purpose yards per game were also second nationally.
 
The Gamecocks have now had All-Americans in consecutive seasons with Clay Webb earning second team honor last year.
 
Jax State went 9-5 during the season and won its second Bowl game in three years after winning the IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl on Tuesday.
