JACKSONVILLE—Jax State's men's golf team will play the first of its final three tournaments starting Sunday at RTJ Magnolia Gove's Falls Course in Mobile at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, hosted by South Alabama.
The Gamecocks are on the course for the first time since a ninth-place finish at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate at LPGA International.
Ricardo Matho and
Ryley Heath tied for 21
st at +11.
Top competition in the field includes the host Jaguars, Marshall, and UCF. Jax State will be paired with Valparaiso and Stephen F. Austin and will have tee times starting at 7:30 a.m. on Hole 1 with freshman
Ben Shedd leading things off followed by
Gabriel Restrepo,
Santiago Bailleres,
Ricardo Matho, and
Ryley Heath in nine-minute intervals.
Richie Reck will play as an individual and tee off at 8:15.
The Falls Course will play as a 7,239-yard, Par 71 and is the only par-71 course on the Robert Trent Jones Trail. The tournament will consist of 54 holes played over three days.
