DAYTONA BEACH—Jax State placed ninth at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate, hosted by Stetson University at LPGA International.
The Gamecocks opened with a 12-over round as a team of 300 and shaved four strokes off for the second round before a 322 in the final round.
Ryley Heath and
Ricardo Matho were the top finishers on the roster in a tie for 21
st with an 11-over total of 227. Heath posted an even-par round of 72 to start and was two-over after the second round. He posted an 81 in Tuesday's final round. Matho was four over in the first round and one over in the second before closing with a six-over round of 78.
Santiago Bailleres was 52
nd with a total of 18 over after posting rounds of 75, 74, and 85.
Gabriel Restrepo was a stroke behind in 56
th, bouncing back from an opening round of 81 with rounds of 75 and 79.
Ben Shedd rounded out the roster in 74
th posting rounds of 75, 81, and 89.
The Gamecocks will be back on the course on March 23
rd for the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate at RTJ Magnolia Grove.
