JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Entering the final day of the Conference USA regular season, Jax State is set to celebrate senior Marcellus Brigham Jr. while also looking to compete for the CUSA regular season championship against Kennesaw State at 2 p.m.

Jax State enters Saturday's game against Kennesaw State with a chance to earn a share of the Conference USA Regular Season Championship. With a win, Jax State clinches at least a share of the 2025 Conference USA regular season title.

Saturday night serves as senior night at Pete Mathews Coliseum where Jax State will honor senior forward Marcellus Brigham Jr.. Brigham is a five-year member of the Jax State squad, having played in over 100 career games for the Gamecocks.
Pierre Etches His Name in the Record Book
Jax State redshirt senior Jaron Pierre Jr. is in the midst of a historic season, having scored the most points in a single season of any player in the program's Division I history. With his 653 points, Pierre has surpassed the previous record of 571 set by KyKy Tandy last season. Pierre has nearly scored 100 more points than the previous record.

Jax State guard Jaron Pierre Jr. is the only player inall of Division I college basketball to have at least 650 points, 150 rebounds and 100 assists this season. In the prior four seasons, this had only been accomplished 22 times, with six of the seasons having resulted in Associated Press All-America honors.
Earn it at the Stripe
As a team, Jax State ranks 29th in the NCAA in free throw percentage, but that number boasts a more significant notation in CUSA history. Jax State's 77.2 free-throw percentage this season is on track to be the fourth best in Conference USA history behind 2021-22 Charlotte (79.2) and Western Kentucky squads in 2019-20 (78.9) and 2020-21 (78.8).
On the Gridiron & the Hardwood
With the Jax State football program taking home the Conference USA Championship this season, the Jax State Men's Basketball team looks to follow suit. If Jax State earns a share of the CUSA regular season title, it would become the second school in conference history to do so in the same year, joining Louisville in 2004-05.
Jax State at Home
Jax State is 12-1 so far this season in home games at the Pete Mathews Coliseum in Jacksonville. The Gamecocks lone home loss came on Thursday, Feb. 20 against New Mexico State. The Gamecocks finished as the last Conference USA team undefeated at home before suffering the setback to the Aggies.
