Carter Earns No. 300
With a strikeout on Tuesday, April 8,
Kat Carter earned her 300th career strikeout. With the record-setting strikeout, Carter became just the 11th player in program history to reach the 300-strikeout mark. Carter is a four-year member of the Jax State softball program and alongside her 300 career strikeouts, she has also compiled 39 career wins.

In the first season under new head coach
Julie Boland, Jax State has already improved upon its 2024 win total. The Gamecocks finished their first season in Conference USA last year with a 23-30 record and have already surpassed that win total in 2025. Jax State reached the 24-win mark this season with just 15 losses.
Well Rounded Ballclub
Jax State sits towards the top of Conference USA in several categories at both the plate and the circle. The Gamecocks 225 runs are the second most in CUSA while also tying for the lead in doubles (65) and leading in walks (151). In the circle, Jax State has posted the second-best ERA (2.86) and the second most strikeouts (200).

Tied for the team lead with a 2.19 ERA,
Kat Carter has been the premier pitcher for Jax State this season. The senior has tossed 96.0 innings with eight wins and two saves in 21 appearances. Of her 14 starts, Carter has tossed 11 complete games including four complete game shutouts. Carter's 11 CG's are tied for the league lead.

Haleigh Cushingberry is in the midst of an 11-game reached base streak as well as a nine-game hitting streak. Cushingberry has exactly one hit in Jax State's last nine games and is two games shy of tying
Emma Elrod for the longest streak by a Gamecock this year (11).

Emma Elrod has continued an offensive tear the entirety of 2025, leading Jax State in a few offensive categories through 41 games so far this season. Elrod leads Jax State in hits (57), doubles (13), batting average (.396), runs (43) and slugging percentage (.708).
We Want Some Mo'
Morgan Nowakowski has been a crucial piece for Jax State near the top of the lineup, batting .2, the second-best mark on the team so far this year. Nowakowski also ranks third in Conference USA with 26 walks drawn and fifth in on base percentage at .479.
