DALLAS—Jax State was picked third in the 2026 Conference USA Preseason Coaches' Poll and had a pair of players named to the league's Preseason All-Conference Team.
 
The Gamecocks garnered 110 total points, finishing Liberty which had 11 of the 12 first-place votes, and just 11 points behind LA Tech. Western Kentucky received the other first-place nod and finished fourth.
 
Junior outfielder Emma Elrod and sophomore infielder Kailey Martin were named to the preseason all-conference team. Elrod was a First-Team All-Conference USA player last season after leading the team with a .383 batting average, 15 home runs, and 17 doubles. Martin earned all-freshman honors after hitting .315 with 11 home runs and a team-best 47 RBIs.
 
Jax State will open the 2026 season at the 40^th Annual Louisiana Classic on February 6^th in Lafayette, La. against Tulsa.
