
Oyebadejo Named CSC Second Team Academic All-America

JACKSONVILLE—Former Jax State defensive lineman Emmanuel Oyebadejo was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Second Team this afternoon.
He became just the fifth player in program history to earn the honor. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 grade point average and be a starter or key reserve on their team.
The native of Manchester, England carries a 3.82 grade point average as a professional biology major and was a First-Team All-Conference USA selection after making 41 total tackles with 6.5 for loss, 4.5 sacks, five pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.
The Gamecocks posted a 9-5 record in 2025 and made their second consecutive appearance in the Air National Guard Conference USA Football Championship and won the IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl in Montgomery over Troy.
