JACKSONVILLE—Jax State Director of Golf
Robbie Fields has signed Sophia Blake to join the team for the 2026-27 season.
Blake comes to Jax State from Redlands Community College where she is currently the No. 1 player in her region and is 35
th nationally. Earlier this fall, she was the medalist at the Fall Aggie Women's Invitational and has two other top 10 finishes.
"We are excited for a proven competitor with the experience Sophia has to join our team," said Fields. "Not only does she compete, but she also gives full effort and loves the game of golf. She is a high-quality individual who is kind and values team and family."
During her freshman season, the native of Jiutepec, Mexico had a pair of wins, highlighted by the NJCAA Central District Championship where she finished six under for 36 holes. Blake posted five top five finishes and was ranked 20
th nationally.
I believe in the positive impact Sophia will bring to our team once she completes her junior college career, and we cannot wait for her to join us in Jacksonville," said Fields.
The Gamecocks will begin the spring portion of their season this weekend at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate at Hammock Creek.
