DALLAS—Jax State had two of the 11-member Conference USA Softball All-Academic Team which was released this afternoon by the league office.
Fifth-year senior
Morgan Nowakowski and junior
Amber Reed were voted onto the team voted on by each school's academic advisor.
Nowakowski, a center fielder from Huntsville holds a 4.0 grade point average in pursuit of her MBA in Healthcare and is a four-time President's List honoree and was twice named to the Conference USA Honor Roll and has received two CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medals. On the field, she leads the NCAA in doubles with 22. She is a .348 hitter having started all 52 games this season and has 34 RBIs.
The Suwanee, Ga. native holds a 3.93 grade point average as an Accounting major. She is a three-time President's List honoree and a two-time Dean's List selection. Additionally, Reed has twice made the CUSA Honor Roll and has won two CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medals. Reed has reached base safely in each of her last 29 games and has a .357 average this season with seven doubles, a triple, and four homers. In Conference USA play, Reed is hitting .395 and is slugging .632.
The tandem helped Jax State clinch its first Conference USA regular season title and the top seed in the 2026 Conference USA Softball Tournament next week in Newark, Del.
The Gamecocks will wrap up the 2026 regular season this weekend at Sam Houston.
