2013: Appeared in 40 games while making 33 starts for the Gamecocks in 2013…posted a 17-15 record with a 2.70 ERA…named MVP of the OVC Tournament after going 4-0 in the tournament with an 0.70 earned run average and 39 strikeouts in 30.0 innings in the circle…her shutout in the championship game was her second of the tournament…enters her senior season as the school’s career record holder in strikeouts (706) and second in career wins (59), starts (99), complete games (63) and innings pitched (626.1)…pitched 230.1 innings while striking out 263 batters…gave up 214 hits and allowed just 89 earned runs…finished with 19 complete games on the season…finished with 10 or more strikeouts eight times, including a seson high 15 against St. Louis on Feb. 18…struck out 10 batters in the Gamecocks opening game of the OVC tournament against Eastern Kentucky on May 8 before fanning 14 batters against SIUE on May 9…struck out nine batters in the OVC Championship game against UT Martin…right-handed hitters hit just .208 against her while she forced 229 fly outs and 173 ground outs.
2012: Served as the team’s ace in the circle after missing the first month of the season with a hand injury…made 36 appearances, sixth most in a season in school history, and 29 starts in the circle, eight most by a Gamecock…posted a 17-10 record, a 2.41 ERA and struck out 175 batters to lead the OVC with 0.85 strikeouts per seven innings…A Second Team All-OVC Selection after posting a 12-8 mark and a 2.06 ERA…limited opposing batters to a .233 batting average in OVC games…eased her way back from injury to be ready for JSU’s OVC opener, when she tossed a pair of four-hit complete games and struck out 20 batters in wins over Eastern Illinois and garnered OVC Pitcher of the Week honors for her efforts…one week later she no-hit Murray State in the rubber match of the three-game series…carried that over into the next game at Tennessee Tech, where she retired the first 10 batters she faced to cap a streak of 12.0 hitless frames…threw 22 complete games and six shutouts on the year…tossed a season-high nine innings in a shutout win over Tennessee State on April 12…fanned a season-high 13 batters in her OVC debut on March 10 vs. EIU…struck out 11 in just five innings vs. Alabama State on May 1, and sat down 10 batters at Austin Peay on April 28...right-handed hitters hit just .210 against her and she forced 215 fly ball outs to 135 ground ball outs.
2011: Stepped in and was the Gamecocks’ ace in the circle as a true freshman…was named the OVC’s Freshman of the Year, earned First Team All-OVC and OVC All-Newcomer honors…led the league in wins with a 25-11 record and strikeouts per seven innings with 8.7…her 268 strikeouts were the fourth-highest total in a season in school history, while her 25 wins were second…started 37 games in the circle and went the distance 22 times, including five shutouts…opponents hit just .202 against her…threw two no-hitters, the first of which saw her no-hit Austin Peay for nine innings in a 1-0 win on April 17, the longest no-no in JSU history…her second came in a 4-0 win over SE Missouri in the second round of the OVC Tournament, the first in the history of the tourney…was 2-1 with a 1.69 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 20.2 innings in the OVC Tournament to earn MVP honors…in OVC play, went 14-4 with a 2.59 ERA, tossing 13 complete games in 23 starts…recorded one save on March 19 vs. Morehead State…was named OVC Pitcher of the Week three times (Feb. 21, March 14, April 18)…tossed a one-hit shutout of Illinois-Chicago in the NCAA Louisville Regional on May 21…struck out 10 or more batters nine times, including 14 against SEMO in the OVC Tournament on May 14…notched 13 strikeouts at SIUE on April 2.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played four seasons for coaches Rusty Bates and Shaun Butler at Hazel Green High School in Hazel Green, Ala…a four-time Team MVP for the Trojans, was also named MVP of the area in 2008 and 2010...a first team all-state selection as a senior after posting a 31-12 record and a 1.70 ERA in the circle, while batting .464 with nine doubles, two triples, nine home runs and 34 RBI…was an all-state honorable mention in 2008…in her career with the Trojans, hit .412 with 15 homers and 93 RBI, while going 76-46 in the circle with a 1.37 ERA and 1,102 strikeouts…was named the Super All-Metro Pitcher of the Year as a sophomore and senior by the Huntsville Times, while earning all-metro honors in all four seasons…was selected to play in the North-South All-Star Game after her junior season…led the Trojans to area titles in 2008 and 2010…was an honor student at HGHS…played travel softball for the North Alabama Rockets, Huntsville Sparks and Birmingham Bandits…led the Sparks to three ASA State Titles…played with current JSU teammates Hayden Crawford and Tyris Branford with the Sparks.
PERSONAL: Born on March 29, 1992, in Huntsville, Ala…the daughter of Chris and Karen Harbin…has an older sister, Melissa Watts…is majoring in elementary education at JSU.
