JSU Career: 2022: Appeared in 25 games and started the regular season finale at Bellarmine…had a 4-4 win-loss record…pitched in 48.1 innings, tallying a 2.61 ERA for the year…also had nine saves and 58 strikeouts…in ASUN competition, he pitched a high of 4.0 innings and six strikeouts at Bellarmine (May 21)…had 12 putouts and two assists at Central Arkansas (Apr. 9)…had two assists at Central Arkansas on Apr. 10 also…versus North Alabama on Mar. 25 and May 1, Causey had four at bats…scored one run at North Alabama (May 1)…had two hits and two RBIs at North Alabama (Apr. 29)…had one sacrifice fly at Central Arkansas (Apr. 9).

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Sparkman High School in Madison, Alabama for head coach Jason Brewer…led SHS to a Class 7A Area 7 championship and a spot in the quarterfinals of the AHSAA Class 7A state playoffs and a 25-win season as a senior…named to the 2021 Alabama Sports Writers Association’s Class 7A All-State team as an infielder…listed as a  preseason All-American by Perfect Game…named to multiple Perfect Game All-Tournament teams and ranked among the top 500 players according to PG…tabbed an Under Armour  Baseball Factory All-American...posted an earned run average under one and collected 94 strikeouts on the prep level…named to the 2019 AL.com All-Tennessee Valley First Team after hitting .337 with six homers and 26 RBIs while drawing more walks (14) than total number of strikeouts (12)… threw a five-inning no hitter, striking out eight, walking two and hitting two batters, in an 11-1 win over Grissom High School in April of 2019…also went 3-for-3 that same day, including a pair of home runs…active on the summer circuits with the Viper Baseball Academy.
