PRIOR TO JSU: Started his collegiate career at Shelton State Community College in his hometown of Tuscaloosa…coached by Bobby Sprowl at SSCC…finished a two-year stint at SSCC with 39 appearances spanning the 2021 and 2022 seasons…led the Bucs to a 40-win season as a freshman in 2021 and a 34-22 mark in 2022…SSCC compiled 49 Alabama Community College Conference wins over two seasons…tossed 68.0 innings on the JUCO level and finished with 82 strikeouts and 28 earned runs…collected seven wins and five saves at SSCC…finished the 2021 slate with a 1.65 earned run average…named to the 2022 NJCAAA All-Academic Third Team (3.60-3.79 GPA).

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Hillcrest High School and coached by Mark Garner...led the Patriots to three consecutive AHSAA Class 6A state playoff appearances after claiming area titles…helped HHS earn a spot in the 2018 Class 6A semifinals with a 6-3 record, 2.22 ERA and 88 strikeouts…gave up just 20 earned runs in 63 innings as a junior with just 31 walks…a 2019 and 2020 Perfect Game All-American and All-Region Team selection…tabbed to the 2018 WWBA 2020 Grads or 16U National Championship All-Tournament Team…listed in the Top 50 pitchers ranking in the state and the No. 4 left-handed pitcher.
