Prior to Jax State: Joined the program after one season at the University of Louisiana-Monroe … in his only season at ULM in 2023, Derbyshire made 17 appearances from the bullpen, posted a 7.16 ERA over 16.1 innings, allowing 14 runs, 13 earned, on 21 hits with 11 walks and 18 strikeouts…had nine scoreless appearances…pitched a perfect inning against Troy on March 25 and a scoreless inning on March 24…in his debut for ULM, Derbyshire threw a scoreless ninth inning against Bradley….played two seasons at Mineral Area College in Park Hills, Mo. …won consecutive Missouri Community College Athletic Conference championships…as a sophomore, made 13 appearances and 10 starts with a 3-3 record, notching a save and a 5.31 ERA over 61 innings, allowing 54 runs and 36 earned runs off of 64 hits for 55 strikeouts and 24 walks.
