Olivia Grey has been added as the pitching coach at Jacksonville State ahead of the 2026 season.
“Coach Grey's passion for teaching the game and commitment to building strong, resilient competitors and women align perfectly with Jax State's legacy,” said Jax State Head Coach Julie Boland, “Her ability to enhance mentality, uphold standards, and foster a championship mindset will be a valuable asset to our team as we continue to grow and pursue a winning culture.”
Grey spent the prior season as a graduate assistant at Michigan State after one season as a pitcher for the Spartans. As a player, Grey was a two-time Big Ten Pitcher of the Week selection and has the 10th most strikeouts in a single season by a Spartan in program history.
Prior to her time at Michigan State, Grey spent three seasons at Portland State, earning several All-Conference honors. Grey was named First Team All-Big Sky in 2022, a two-time Big Sky All-Tournament Team selection as well as the 2021 Big Sky Championship MVP, a three-time Academic All-Big Sky selection and a three-time Big Sky Pitcher of the Week. Grey was also tabbed Second Team NCFA All-Region in 2022.
Grey also played professional softball in the Women’s Fastpitch League for the Hub City Adelitas. Grey holds her Bachelor’s degree from Portland State and her Master’s degree from Michigan State.
