2022: Appeared in just two matches and four sets for Jax State…battled injuries for much of the season…made her season debut against Stetson on Oct. 29…played in all three sets of a Senior Night sweep of North Alabama on Nov. 11…tied a career-high of six digs and added an ace versus the Lions.

2021: Appeared in  37 sets and 21 matches during her junior season...finished third on the team in service aces per set with 0.30...recorded a career-high six digs against Central Arkansas (10/17) and Alabama State (8/21) in a reserve role on the back row...registered a career-high three service aces in a sweep of Middle Tennessee State (8/28) which was tied for the second-most in a single game by a JSU player during the season.

2020: Appeared in 10 of JSU’s 18 matches during the pandemic-shortened season...improved her career mark to four digs against Eastern Kentucky on Mar. 14…finished the season with 16 digs and an ace as a defensive reserve for the Gamecocks who repeated as OVC champions with a 15-1 regular-season mark.

2019: Made her collegiate debut at UAB on Sept. 6...appeared in seven matches for the Gamecocks as a true freshman...primarily a serving specialist early in the year she had two aces...recorded two digs against North Alabama on Sept. 7...finished the year with six digs and part of JSU's first Ohio Valley Conference championship in 10 years. . 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played five years at West Memphis for head coach Erica Lear…team captain her senior year with over 260 digs…season best 28 against Searcy…also played basketball, tennis and ran track for the Blue Devils…played club for Memphis Metro Volleyball, winning open division of the Hot Springs Invitational in 2018 and first in the Memphis Challenge in 2019…also recruited by Southern Miis, North Florida and Belhaven.

PERSONAL: Full name Annabeth Nelson…born April 29, 2001 in West Memphis, Ark…the daughter of Jennifer and Mike Nelson…has one younger sister, Abby…favorite color is yellow…plans to major in business marketing at JSU.
