JSU CAREER
2022: Played in all 30 matches and appeared in 110 sets for the Gamecocks, again starring as the libero…finished her Jax State career with 1,472 digs, ranking fifth in program history…set a new career-high with 415 digs, which rank 19
th in single season program history…led the team in digs and digs per set (3.77)…her 3.77 digs per set are the 18
th most in an individual season for the Gamecocks…totaled 38 service aces as a senior, a new career-best…her 0.35 aces per set were tied for 12
th in the ASUN…second on the squad with 117 assists…set career highs with 10 assists at Austin Peay on Nov. 13 and four aces against Eastern Kentucky on Oct. 14…had a season-best 21 digs twice, at Clemson (Sept. 2) and at Liberty (Oct. 1)…recorded 20 digs five times.
2021: Played in 29 matches and 103 sets during her junior season as the libero for the Gamecocks...led JSU's defensive efforts from the back row wih a team-high 371 digs and 3.6 digs per set average...was named the ASUN Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 4, after averaging 5.1 digs per set in a pair of sweeps...totaled a season-high 20 digs against North Florida on Sept. 25, and EKU on Oct 1...recorded her 1,000 career-dig against Lipscomb on Nov. 14, and has amassed 1,057 digs during her career at JSU...is just the 13th player in program history to record 1,000-plus digs.
2020: One of two Gamecocks to play all 60 sets in JSU’s shortened 2020 season due to Covid-19…in 18 matches she led JSU with 282 digs for fourth-most in the OVC…she registered a new career-high with 28 digs at Morehead State on March 28 as Jax State clinched its second-straight OVC title with a 3-2 road win over the Eagles…she was a key part in JSU’s 15-match win streak to begin the year holding down the back row as the Gamecock libero for the second year…finished the spring season with 282 digs, 59 assists and the second-most aces on the team at 16.
2019: Became JSU's first freshman to don the libero jersey since 2014 after taking over the role for the Gamecocks during the second weekend of play...appeared in all 30 matches and 106 sets of action...finished with the most digs by a freshman since 2008 with 404...upped 10-or-more attacks in 23 matches with a career-high 26 against UT Martin on Sept. 28...led Jax State with 26 aces, including a season-high four against Mississippi State on Sept. 14 where she also collected 25 digs...had nine assists against Stetson and UT Martin...finished her freshman campaign with 404 digs, 93 assists and 26 aces...led JSU to its first Ohio Valley Conference championship in 10 years.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played prep volleyball for Avon High under the tutelage of Scott McQueen and Amie Sherrod…helped lead the Orioles to a 37-3 mark and state championship in 2017 and finished runner-up in 2018…named Under Armour All-American as a senior…honored as AHS Most Improved in 2016, and earned all-district and all-county honors in 2018...named a Prep Volleyball Defensive Dandy...played club for Circle City Volleyball Club…chose JSU over DePaul and Butler among others.
PERSONAL: Born February 16, 2001 Muncie, Ind…the daughter of Madeline and Kyle Carmichael…has an older brother Evan, older sister Emma and twin sister Elise (Erin’s older)…Elise is also entering college volleyball as a setter for Tusculum University…lists Serena Williams as her favorite athlete…plans to major in exercise science and human development at JSU.
