2008: Saw action in 27 of the Gamecocks’ 29 matches in her junior season…picked up 118 digs on the year, and average of 1.48 per game…also recorded 17 kills, 20 assists and three service aces…picked up 10 digs in a match twice, vs. Eastern Kentucky on Oct. 31 and at UT Martin on Nov. 15…had six or more digs 11 times.
Prior to JSU: Played two seasons at Gadsden State Community College in Gadsden, Ala., where she was a two-time all-state and all-region performer…as a sophomore, was second on the team with 316 kills and was third on the team in digs…had 39 service aces, which was second on the squad…as a freshman, was second on the team with 275 digs, while recording 313 kills, also second on the squad…earned academic all-conference accolades twice and was an Academic All-American as a sophomore.
Prep: Played her prep volleyball at Fort Payne High School in Fort Payne, Ala…was an all-state selection in each her junior and senior seasons, an all-area player in her last three years, while earning all-county honors in all four varsity campaigns…also lettered in softball, a sport in which she was a two-time Golden Glove Award recipient.
Personal: The daughter of Brian and Deb Beasley…has a younger sister, Meg…was a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Tueta and Phi Theta Kappa at FPHS and received the Outstanding Senior Award in 2006.
