JSU CAREER
2019: Appeared in every match for the first time since 2016...finished with 252 kills, 146 digs and 40 blocks in her first fully-healthy season since her freshman year...had nine double-digit kill performances led by 13 against Stetson on Sept. 13...had a season-best 13 digs on the road at SIUE...guided JSU to the Ohio Valley Conference championship.Â
2018: Made 20 starts and appeared in 23 of JSU’s 32 matches while battling an ankle injury in her return season…in 80 sets of action she accounted for 183 kills, 129 digs and 18 blocks…she stepped up against some of the stiffest competition with a new career-best 17 digs against Boston College on Aug. 31, and posted a career-high 17 kills during the OVC Tournament against top-seeded Austin Peay on Nov. 16…managed two double-doubles against BC and Tenn. State on Nov. 3…came off the bench to hit .700 (7-0-10) to help JSU win its first OVC tournament match in nine years against SIUE...named to the OVC All-Tournament team after hitting .386 with 24 kills and 16 digs in postseason play.
2017: Sat out the season as a redshirt following rib surgery.
2016: Appeared in all but one match as a true freshman, making 35 starts…made her collegiate debut in the season-opener at Air Force on Aug. 26, coming off the bench for a double-double of 14 kills and 14 digs…the 14 kills became a season high which she matched again at Tennessee State on Sept. 30…reached a season-best 16 digs against Eastern Illinois on Oct. 21…notched four double-doubles en route to 258 kills and 245 digs…also recorded 71 blocks to help the Gamecocks lead the Ohio Valley Conference and finished second nationally in total team blocks…had a career-high nine blocks in a three-set sweep over Savannah State on Sept. 2.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Greenway HS in Phoenix, Ariz., under head coaches Sarah Peterson and Shannon Nelson…three-time first team all-district honoree and 2014 district Offensive Player of the Year…named Fox Sports AZ’s Sportsman of the Month…guided the Demons to a 40-1 record and state championship as a senior…also played softball.
PERSONAL: Born June 22, 1998, in Flagstaff, Ariz…the daughter of Debbie and Dave Anderson…has an older brother, Cole, a younger brother, Garrett, and a younger sister, Jessie…older brother Cole plays baseball at Paradise Valley CC, while both parents ran track at Northern Arizona…mother was also a three-time all-conference volleyball player who became the first in school history to record 1,000 career kills and is a member of NAU’s Athletic Hall of Fame…favorite TV show is Grey’s Anatomy…is undecided on her major.
