2018: Saw action in six matches as a r-sophomore before a leg injury hindered her season…posted her first career kill in the season-opener against North Alabama on Aug. 24…had a pair of put-aways against Southern Utah (Sept. 1) and Mississippi Valley (Sept. 7)…finished the abbreviated campaign with six kills and five blocks.
2017: Appeared in 14 matches for the Red and White, making her collegiate debut on Sept. 8 against Alcorn State…recorded a season-high five blocks at Morehead State on Sept. 29…finished the year with nine total blocks and four digs.
2016: Sat out the season as a redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Ursuline Academy in Dallas, Texas, for coaches Corrimne Atcgison, Jason Sears and Kelley Gregoriew…named Most Improved her final season guiding the Bears to a 12-4 mark…was runner-up at state for three seasons…also competed in track and field.
PERSONAL: Born May 10, 1998, in Mount Pleasant, Texas…the daughter of Tai and Eric Powell…has one younger sister, Karson…her father Eric was a quarterback and running back on JSU’s 1992 national championship football team…her uncle Tom Powell played football at Auburn…high school teammates with Syracuse’s Dana Vallely…plans to major in biology at JSU.
