FINAL RESULTS

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Jacksonville State women's golf team turned in a 319 on Monday to finish 15th at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate at Kiawah island's Oak Point Course.

Sophomore Lourdes Lopez Caballo carded a 54-hole total of 226 to finish tied for 27th in the 96-player field and lead all Gamecocks. The Cadiz, Spain, native opened with a 71 and 73 in the first two rounds on Sunday, but a final-round 82 dropped her on the leaderboard on the par-72 layout.

Senior Lucia Fernandez Valdes (77-76-77-230) finished in a tie for 43rd, while senior Astrid Parsson (80-80-77-237) tied for 62nd. Juniors Ornella Arrizon (79-83-83-245) and Luz Armijo-Fernandez (83-86-83-252) rounded out the Gamecocks' lineup.

UNC-Greensboro won the event, finishing just ahead of Maryland. East Tennessee State, Campbell and Morehead State rounded out the top five, respectively.

The event rounds out the fall season for JSU's women's team.
