TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Jacksonville State men's tennis team finished its first Ohio Valley Conference road trip with a 5-2 win over Eastern Illinois on Sunday in a match moved indoors to the Wabash Tennis Center in Terre Haute, Ind.

Freshman
Dylan Gee posted his second consecutive OVC singles win at No. 4 as he turned back EIU's Robert Skolik, 6-1, 6-3.
Mathias Chaim and
Felipe Diaz scored wins at No. 5 and 6 respectively.
In the women's match, the Panthers garnered the doubles point to gain the advantage in the team score. Senior
Raisa Guasti moved to 4-1 in OVC singles at No. 1 as she topped EIU's Janelle Prisnerin three sets. After Prisner claimed the first set, 6-2, Guasti bounced back to win 6-1, 6-4. Freshman
Claudia Marsala notched a win at No. 3 singles for JSU's other team point as she mirrored what Guasti did after losing the opening set. Marsala won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.
Both squads will step out of conference play next weekend as they will travel to Charleston, S.C. on Thursday, March 27 as the men's team will take on The Citadel, while the Gamecock women will face Charleston Southern.
