Amores' 2016 Men's Recruiting Class Ranked 25th by The Tennis Recruiting Network

JACKSONVILLE – Jacksonville State's 2016 men's tennis recruiting class is ranked as one of the best among the mid-major programs, according to the Tennis Recruiting Network, one of the top recruiting sources in collegiate tennis.

JSU head coach Andres Amores' first men's recruiting class is ranked 25th by the web site, which includes all schools not in one of the Power 5 conferences.

Amores inked Felix Morck of Kristianstad and Paolo Cucalon from Palmira, Colombia.  Both players bring many credentials from the international junior tours to Jax State.
Morck is ranked fourth in the Sweden Juniors U18 rankings and finished sixth in the men's open rankings in the summer of 2015.  Morck qualified for the final draw at the ATP Future in Turkey this year.  He competed in the Swedish Championship Gold U18 Singles draw and the participated in doubles action at the event.  Morck was the runner up of the Swedish U16 Championship.

Cucalon also has lofty rankings as he is ranked No. 343 in the International Tennis Federation after being a two-time finalist in Ecuador and Peru.  While playing in the U14 ranks, he was listed the top player in Columbia and was No. 2 in the U16 listings.  He ranked as high as No. 6 in South America while playing on the U16 level.  Cucalon reached the quarterfinals of the Peru Junior Open and moved to the second round of the 2015 Copa Gatorade Grade 1 event.
