HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Jacksonville State women's tennis team blanked Alabama A&M 4-0 on the road Saturday to wrap up a two-match weekend away from Jacksonville.

The Gamecocks (4-1) earned their fourth win in a row with the victory over the Bulldogs (3-1), winning the doubles point and playing to three singles points.

Jax State won all three sets of doubles competition to earn the day's first point.
Cristina Moll Alles and
Harriet Hamilton have lost just one doubles set all season, improving to 4-1 at the No. 1 slot with a 5-2 decision Saturday. The senior duo of
Malin Buechner and
Alba Conejero moved to 4-0 this year with a 6-2 win over Camila Ruiz Diaz and India Woods, while
Alessia Locati and
Sara Jamal earned a 6-0 win at No. 3 in their first set as doubles partners.

The Gamecocks ran the table in singles play, winning three matches while the remaining three went unfinished. Buechner won at No. 2 over Ruiz Diaz (6-2, 6-3) to put JSU up 2-0 early.
Balsen Kaya earned her second win of the season at No. 4 with a two-set victory over Ayana Rengiil (6-2, 7-5), and Locati picked up her first single win of the season to claim the match for the Gamecocks. Locati won 7-5, 6-1 over India Woods.

Moll Alles, Hamilton and Conejero's singles matches went unfinished after the match point.

Jacksonville State's next match is Wednesday at North Alabama at 1 p.m. in Florence, Ala. After that, the Gamecocks return home Thursday, Feb. 27 to host Alabama State at 1:30 p.m.
