JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State women's tennis team picked up its second win in a row Sunday with a 4-0 victory over Nicholls State at the JSU Tennis Courts.

Three singles matches and the final doubles set went unfinished as the Gamecocks (4-3) swept the Colonels (0-3) in the final contest of the weekend for Jax State.

Harriet Hamilton and
Charlie Croteau won 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, improving to 6-1 on the season, while
Dariana Prato and
Balsen Kaya picked up their third doubles victory of the year with a 6-2 win over Nikita Pinto and Carla Bouygues at No. 2. With the doubles point going to JSU,
Malin Buechner and
Sara Jamal's doubles match went unfinished while leading 5-2 in the set.

Croteau was the first Gamecock to score in singles play, winning 6-2, 6-3 at No. 4, and Hamilton won in straight sets at No. 1 over Simona Maksimovic to put Jacksonville State up by three.
Martina Zarza finished off Nicholls State with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Nuria Martin Lopez at No. 5.

Prato, Kaya and Buechner each saw their contests go unfinished after the Gamecocks claimed the match point.

The Gamecocks return to action Saturday, Feb. 27 when they travel to Montgomery, Ala., to take on Alabama State at 1 p.m.
