"We knew this was going to be a tough match going in to start our season. It's always tough playing an SEC opponent, let alone indoors after 5 days of practice," said Head Coach
Mike Mucci. "Despite being shorthanded, the ladies fought extremely hard and almost broke through on multiple courts. I'm especially proud of Zuzana and Anna for getting so close to winning those first sets against top competition in their first ever spring match. We will get better because of this and make the necessary adjustments in both singles and doubles"
Up next, the Gamecocks will take on Lee University on Thursday, Jan. 20.
