Box Score CHATTANOOGA – The Jacksonville State University women's tennis team fell to Chattanooga 5-2 on the road Friday.

With the loss, JSU falls to 0-2 to start the 2022 campaign.
 
In singles play the Gamecocks earned two points. JSU earned a win in one of the doubles matches but were unable to win the doubles point.
 
In the No. 3 doubles spot, Dariana Prato and Ella Tuomela defeated the Mocs 6-3 for the lone doubles win. Victories in No. 1 and No. 2 doubles secured the lone doubles point for Chattanooga.
For singles, Anna Syrova fell behind to start the No. 4 match, falling 6-3 in the first set, but bounced back, winning 3-6, 6-3, 10-5. Tuomela earned the other singles win for the Gamecocks in the No. 6 spot, 6-4, 1-6, 6-1.
 
Up next the Gamecocks will take on Georgia Southern on Sunday in Statesboro, Georgia.
