JACKSONVILLE—The defending champions are at the top of the 2024-25 Preseason Coaches' Poll.
In a release this morning from the National Tenpin Coaches Association, Jacksonville State is first in the organization's 2024-25 preseason poll.
The Gamecocks received 31 first-place votes to top the poll with a total of 2,076 points and were followed by Conference USA foes Arkansas State, Youngstown State, and Vanderbilt. Nebraska rounded out the top five.
"We are very excited to get this season started and continue to build on what was accomplished last season," said coach
Shannon O'Keefe.
Three players from last year's squad which won the national championship in the program's first season of competition return to join a group of four freshmen and a sophomore transfer.
Jax State will begin its season with an exhibition on October 11
th against Alabama State at Big Time Entertainment in Oxford. The team will compete in Destination Orlando October 18-20 to open the regular season.
