DALLAS—Jax State had the top three bowlers in Conference USA in the month of November as the league released its performers of the month team this afternoon.
The Gamecocks took half the spots on the team with Annalise Obryant,
Kaitlyn Stull, and Gianna Brandonlino all earning spots on the six-person team. The performers of the month team is chosen off statistical performance criteria during the month which was mutually agreed on by the league's head coaches prior to the season.
Jax State won the Bulldog Classic for their second victory in three fall tournaments. Obryant was the bowler of the month after finishing second in the field in traditional pinfall at 1,165. In Baker play, she posted a 225.9 average. The Ball Ground, Ga. native posted a 233 average in traditional play and didn't have a game below 218. She currently leads the country in traditional average at 225.27.
Stull was the freshman of the month after posting a 217.3 traditional average and a 228 Baker average during the tournament. In traditional play, the Raleigh, N.C. native was 10-of-12 on makeable spares and a perfect 8-of-8 in single-pin spare attempts. She posted 62 strikes in 99 frames during the weekend.
Brandolino had a 213.4 traditional average and a 229.3 Baker average. Her 74 total strikes during the tournament tied Obryant for the most on the team. The Channahon, Ill. native was 80% on her makeable spares in traditional play and 88.2% on makeable spares in Baker play.
The Gamecocks will return to the lanes on January 16
th at the Northeast Classic in New Castle, Del.
