SAVANNAH, Ga.—The Gamecocks struggled at Savannah Country Club with an 11

For the 54-hold tournament, Jax State posted a +78 team score of 942 with rounds of 318, 316, and 308. Georgia Southern was the overall champion at 880.
"It obviously wasn't the performance we wanted this week," said coach
Robbie Fields. "We had another opportunity to take advantage of what I called a great weekend of preparation, but at the end of the day we have got to get out and compete. We challenged the team with that today and, for 15 holes, they responded. At some point this team will believe what they're capable of, so we'll get back to work for our next opportunity which I am really excited for."

Ebby Somers in a tie for 24
th at 16 over for the tournament. Somers opened with a one-over 73 followed by rounds of 79 and 80.
