DALLAS—Jax State sophomore Lara El Chaib was selected to the Conference USA Women's Golf All-Academic First-Team, released this afternoon by the league office.
 
El Chaib carries a 3.94 GPA as a Public Relations and Advertisement major. She is a two-time President's List member and was on the Dean's List once. She's received the CUSA Academic Medal and has been named to the CUSA Honor Roll.
 
The native of Abu Dhabi carries a 75.42 scoring average and has three Top 15 finishes in eight tournaments. Her best finish was at the Chris Banister Golf Classic at seventh, posting a one-under 71 in the second round.
 
Jax State will head to Frisco, Texas this weekend for the Conference USA Women's Golf Championship at Stonebriar Country Club.
