This season, Jax State is averaging 456.7 yards per game, ranking 12th most in the nation. The Gamecocks have posted at least 300 yards of total offense in eight games and have six with 400 or more, and four 500-yard performances. Jax State also boasts the No. 9 scoring offense nationally at 39.2 points per game.

J-Rock Swain has made 38.5 tackles for a loss in his five-year Jax State career which is the fourth-most in program history. He had 2.5 in last week's win at LA Tech, including a sack on the final play of overtime to seal the victory.

This season, Jax State has averaged 18.7 points per game in the second half of games and at home has averaged 22.3 points per game in the second half.
Seeing Red
Jax State leads Conference USA in red zone offense, scoring on 89.19% of their trips with 20 touchdowns in 24 attempts and have added a pair of field goals. The team also has the No. 2 red zone defense in the league, highlighted by a conference-best five red zone takeaways.
Turnover Party
The Gamecocks are currently 15th in the FBS in takeaways with a total of 18 through nine games. Their seven fumble recoveries is 23rd-most nationally and their 11 interceptions is 19th-most. Last season, Jax State ranked in both the top ten in the FBS in both forced fumbles (9th) with 15 and interceptions (5th) with 16. The Gamecocks tied for the ninth most turnovers gained last season.
Going Bowling
With last week's win at LA Tech, Jax State is now bowl-eligible having achieved six wins this season. Since 1999, 22 other programs have moved up to the FBS level and Jax State is the only one to reach a bowl game in their first two years of eligibility.
Series History
The teams meet for just the third time with Jax State having won both of the previous meetings that took place in Miami (2020, 2023). This is the first trip to Jacksonville for FIU.

Jax State head coach
Rich Rodriguez enters the Liberty game in seventh place among active FBS head coaches in career wins. In his 27th season as a head coach, Rodriguez has a 187-128-2 career record. Rodriguez made head coaching stops at Salem, Glenville State, West Virginia, Michigan and Arizona prior to landing at Jax State ahead of the 2022 season.
