"We were certainly challenged this week," said coach
Robbie Fields. "In our preparation we emphasized having more positive attitudes which I believe showed throughout the tournament, but especially in our bounce back from round one to two. I am proud of our team for their fight to the finish this week. We are constantly improving, which is our focus, and we get the chance to continue that quickly this weekend and we are excited for that."
Jinger Heath had the best placement on the individual leaderboard at seventh with a 54-hole total of 221. Heath posted the team's lone under-par round during the tournament on Monday with a 71 in the second round and played the final 18 holes at even on Tuesday. The sophomore posted eight birdies during the tournament.
"Jinger did a great job of resetting and bouncing back from round one to put together a nice tournament," said Fields. "Her last 36 holes were very steady on such a challenging course. She is tough on herself so she knows the areas she needs to improve on, because her best golf hasn't been seen yet this year and I'm excited for when it does show. I am still proud of her and all she did this week."
