Two Gamecocks Take Home CUSA Postseason Honors

Jacobs named third team, Elverum named third team and all-freshman

DALLAS, Texas — Jax State's Amelia Jacobs and Kaia Elverum earned All-Conference honors for the 2025 soccer season, Conference USA announced on Friday morning. Both Jacobs and Elverum earned Third Team All-Conference honors, while Elverum also earned All-Freshman team honors.

Amelia Jacobs was an immediate-impact transfer for the Gamecocks, pacing the team with seven goals in her inaugural season in Jacksonville. Jacobs scored four goals in two games earlier this season to not only earn CUSA Offensive Player of the Week honors, but was named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week, one of three CUSA players to earn the honor and the only one until October 14 to be named to the team. Jacobs ranks towards the top in several stat categories this season in CUSA. She is top five in terms of league with seven total goals and averages .389 goals a game and is also tied at eighth in CUSA with two game winners this season. Jacobs is tied for fifth in the league in total points this season with 15 and top-15 in the league in shots on goal with 13 this season.

In her freshman campaign at Jax State, Kaia Elverum started every single game in 2025. Elverum posted four points this season by way of a goal and two assists, with her goal coming against UNC Asheville in the preseason. In total, Elverum has shown to be aggressive in her approach with 29 total shots (second-most on team) and 10 shots on goal this season.

This marks the third-straight season that Jax State has had an all-freshman team honoree. Jax State has had multiple players earn All-Conference honors in all three years of its CUSA membership.
