Reina Herndon Earns CUSA Fall Spirit of Service Award

DALLAS, Texas - Jax State soccer sophomore Reina Herndon has earned Conference USA's Fall Spirit of Service award on Friday afternoon, the conference announced.

The award honors student-athletes with significant community service endeavors, good academic standing and participation in their sport. The Spirit of Service award is presented three times throughout the season, with Friday's honorees representing men's cross country, football, women's soccer and volleyball. 

Herndon serves as Jax State's Student Athlete Advisory Comittee (SAAC) social media and marketing chair, a role she was elected to prior to the beginning of the fall 2025 semester. She has helped promote and organize various SAAC events this semester, including the Back to School Bash, Suicide Sunset Awareness Walk, and the Mental Health Seminiar.

This season, she appeared in 16 games, starting six, and played a total of 679 minutes on the pitch. She tallied six shots with three on target. Off the pitch, Herndon carried a 4.0 GPA this season and qualified for the President's List. She is majoring in business.
