DALLAS, TX. – Lucius Soller and Matei Palcau have been named to the 2025 CUSA Academic All-Conference Team this year thanks to their efforts both on the court and in the classroom this season.
 
Palcau is a junior from Constanta, Romania, who has maintained a 4.0 GPA while working toward his degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Economics. Palcau has also been a standout on the tennis courts this season as he has earned a 9-3 singles record this Spring.
 
Soller is a redshirt junior from Porto Alegre, Brazil, who has a 3.83 GPA while double majoring in Accounting and Finance. Soller and teammate Zach Murphy have been impressive in doubles play this season earning an 11-2 record together. Soller has an overall 11-3 record in doubles this season.
 
Soller and Murphy's success this season earned them CUSA Doubles Team of the Week back on Feb. 26 after a 3-0 weekend against Airforce, Utah State, and Denver.
 
Palcau has a two-match win streak rolling into the final weekend of the season after a 6-2, 7-5 win at Presbyterian on March 22 and a 6-1, 6-4 win at Georgia State on April 2.
 
Both Palcau and Soller have helped the Gamecocks to a 10-6 record this season.
