JACKSONVILLE—Winners of 30 consecutive matches, Jax State remains first in the National Tenpin Coaches Association Top 25, released this morning.
The Gamecocks picked up 41 of 44 first-place votes to take the top spot. Vanderbilt is second with the remaining three first-place votes, followed by Arkansas State and Wichita State.
Jax State is 56-8 on the year and are at the top of the NTCA Power Index, and entered February with a near perfect score in the Team Composite Performance Index.
Individually, Jax State has three of the top six scorers nationally in individual scoring average. Freshmen
Gianna Brandolino and
Kaitlyn Stull are first and third, respectively at 223.8 and 215.7. Junior Annalise Obryant is sixth at 212.9.
Nine of the top 10 teams are from Conference USA, including the top six.
The Gamecocks will be back in action on February 20
th at the Big Red Invite in Lincoln, Neb.
