JACKSONVILLE — The 14th-ranked Jax State rifle squad fell 4730-4702 to the 11th-ranked Murray State Racers on Saturday at the Gamecock Rifle Range.

Jax State posted a smallbore aggregate of 2337 and an air rifle aggregate of 2365, while Murray State posted a smallbore aggregate of 2351 and an air rifle aggregate of 2379.

Frans Rasmusson was the top performer for the Gamecocks in the match, posting an aggregate of 1184 with 91 center shots. He posted a smallbore aggregate of 590 and an air rifle aggregate of 594.

Akos Marta was the second-best performer for the Gamecocks with an aggregate score of 1174 and 83 centers. He posted a smallbore aggregate of 577 and an air rifle aggregate of 597.

Lars Lilleng and Jenny Ek rounded out the Gamecocks in the top 10 at eight and nine, respectively. They posted aggregates of 1173-70x and 1168-77x, respectively. 

Maja Pedersen and Alex Watts both finished in the top 10 in smallbore at seven and 10. Pedersen posted a 583-29x, while Watts posted a 579-28x.

In air rifle, Debi Weiser finished at 10th with a score of 585-36x.

The Gamecocks will host the UAB Blazers on Saturday, February 21, in an NCAA Qualifier.
