JACKSONVILLE - Jax State rifle junior Frans Rasmusson was named an All-American Honorable Mention by the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association. The Sweden-native earned honorable mention honors in all three categories that the CRCA offers: aggregate, smallbore, and air rifle.

Rasmusson finished the season with the highest aggregate average on the team at 1181.616, as well as the highest smallbore average (586.308) and highest air rifle average (595.308). Rasmusson most notably posted a 600-59x against The Citadel on January 15, 2026, which was one centershot away from a perfect score. He was one of 10 student-athletes to post a 600 this season, but the only one with 59 centershots, tying an NCAA record for the highest score ever in air rifle. He posted 595+ seven times in air rifle this season, including two 599s to go with his 600. His season high aggregate came in that aforementioned match against The Citadel, which was an 1189 after posting a 589 in smallbore.

Rasmusson becomes the first Gamecock to place on a CRCA All-American list since Brandon Muske was named a second team All-American in air rifle in 2017.
