Men's Tennis Continues To Roll With 4-0 Road Win

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – Jax State men's tennis continued to show they are a formidable opponent Thursday afternoon at the University of the Cumberlands where they dominated the Patriots 4-0.
 
With the Gamecocks up 3-0, Aman Dahiya was able to clinch the match win. Dahiya, who was playing Cumberlands' Darius Kuster in singles flight No. 2, came won the first set 6-2. Dahiya then downed Kuster 7-6 (8-2) in the second to grant Jax State their ninth win of the year and improve their record to 9-2.
 
Marko Milosavljevic got a win on court four over Thibaud Vivier in two sets by scores of 6-4 in the first, then won the second 6-1. David Krasner earned the other win in singles on court one over Jacopo Cianfarini. Krasner won 6-2, 6-3.
 
Timo De Visser won his first set on court three 6-2, then lost the second 6-4. He was tied at 1-1 when the match was unfinished. Matei Palcau's singles match also went unfinished on court five. Palcau won the first 6-4 and was trailing 4-3 when the match was clinched. Finally in singles, Lucius Soller was playing Mohammed Abuz Saber on court six where he won the first set 7-5 and was up 3-2 in the second when it was unfinished.
 
Earlier in the match, Jax State took the doubles point. Krasner and Milosavljevic teamed up to defeat Saber and Cianfarini 6-3 on court two. Palcau and Soller were able to take care of Manuel Fernan Guede and Kesia Roi 6-4 on court three to take the doubles point and give Jax State an early 1-0 advantage.
 
Dahiya and De Visser were trailing 4-2 on court one when the doubles point was clinched by the Gamecocks.
 
Next up, men's tennis travels to Tennessee State on Sunday, March 8, for a match that begins at 11 a.m.
