After their NCAA record 42-match win streak came to a close two weeks ago, the top-ranked Jax State bowling team is more than halfway to breaking their own record.

The Gamecocks won all 13 of their matches, and did so in an impressive fashion to claim the Music City Classic for their sixth tournament title in eight events and are currently on a 25-match win streak.

In their five Baker matches, Jax State had an average team score of 1,113 and a per game average of 222.6. They racked up a total of 5,137 pins in their five traditional matches on Saturday and led the field by nearly 150 total pins.

Freshman
Gianna Brandolino was the tournament MVP with a five-game average of 231.8. Her best total was a 259 in the second round against Lewis. Annalise Obryant had the next highest average on the team at 202.4 with a 245 against Lewis.

Jax State had to battle with Sam Houston in the semifinal featuring the top two teams in pinfall in the field with the Bearkats taking the best of seven Baker series to six games where the Gamecocks came away with a 244-225 win. In those six games, Jax State posted a 223.67 average with their lowest count coming in the fifth at 194.

The Gamecocks then swept Long Island University in four games with the scores of 215-159, 218-188, 210-144, and 195-180. Sam Houston got into the championship with a 4-3 win over Arkansas State in the second round.

Jax State then swept Sam Houston in four games with the scores of 225-203, 197-160, 199-192, and 209-204.
