LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Jax State pitcher
Makenna Moore was selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division I Freshman of the Year Top 25 list on Thursday.
The Grain Valley, Mo. native is 14-1 during her first season at Jax State with a 2.56 ERA and has a save. In 117.2 innings of work, Moore has struck out 101 and has held opponents to a .202 batting average against.
Her 10 wins in Conference USA are second most in the league. She is a two-time Conference USA Pitcher of the Week and two-time CUSA Freshman of the Week.
Moore becomes the first player in program history to make the Top 25.
The winner will be announced on May 26
th prior to the start of the NCAA Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.
Jax State will host its final homestand of the season starting tomorrow night against Middle Tennessee.
