LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Jax State pitcher Makenna Moore was selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division I Freshman of the Year Top 25 list on Thursday.
 
The Grain Valley, Mo. native is 14-1 during her first season at Jax State with a 2.56 ERA and has a save. In 117.2 innings of work, Moore has struck out 101 and has held opponents to a .202 batting average against.
 
Her 10 wins in Conference USA are second most in the league. She is a two-time Conference USA Pitcher of the Week and two-time CUSA Freshman of the Week.
 
Moore becomes the first player in program history to make the Top 25.
 
The winner will be announced on May 26^th prior to the start of the NCAA Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.
 
Jax State will host its final homestand of the season starting tomorrow night against Middle Tennessee.
